CUZ I start every single conversation with “I’m sorry.”

maybe the deeper issue is: how does a person find a way not to feel so dang guilty over their complete 180 degree change, re: in everything-

Hi Olivia. I am just now reading posts; yours was first. I wanted to say to you, I can completely sympathize/empathize with what you wrote. I too have had this same problem for 5 years. I believe my invisibility is due to two things, especially: 1) not being the same 100% self-assured, confident, and assertive person I was (which includes as you said, things such as being witty, clever, always able to fall and somehow land on my feet, just pull stuff right out of [the air]); and 2) I am repeatedly told that I basically either whisper or mumble (or both) even when I feel as if I am shouting. It’s really odd. I know there is a common side effect of some TBI’s that do in fact change one’s voice. Only my spouse is able to hear me or not hear me though because I don’t leave the house (since 2/11/2020), less medical appointments/picking up meds. I don’t know how it is out there in the world. Maybe you can relate to this as well: I don’t get “reality checks” with anyone else because all of my friends/previous coworkers have seemed to just drop off the face of the earth~
Just wanted to let you know I definitely heard you! : )
